"International Citizen Service (ICS)
represents a significant investment by the UK government in young people. The
Department for International Development (DFID) has chosen to fund ICS because
it believes in the power of young people to bring about positive change in some
of the poorest communities around the world" (Taken from:
www.volunteerics.org).
On Monday 29th September, I will travel to Cape
Town, South Africa for 10 weeks to work with Skillshare International and Coaching for Hope. Here I will join a group of young people, from both the UK and South Africa, between the ages of 18 to 25 to fight poverty in overseas and UK communities through sports coaching.
I'll update as often as I can. Keep an eye on this blog and stay up to date with what I'm getting up to.
